Commencing this month, Easyjet have announced new flights between London Luton and Marseille, Nantes as well as a service to Biarritz starting in June 2017.

Following hot on the heels of the recent launch of Easyjet’s Luton/Toulouse route, Ryanair are also launching two new flight routes from Edinburgh, flying to Carcassonne and Toulouse.  Toulouse is one of France’s most vibrant cities. It is often referred to as ‘La Ville Rose’ (the pink city), due to the rose-coloured buildings which give the city its famous warm glow. The city centre is a compact warren of winding cobbled streets and is a joy to explore on foot, especially since few cars brave the narrow streets. The Place du Capitole is the heart of the city and there can be few better places to watch the world go by.

Ryanair has also announced they will be flying three times a week from London Stantead to Lorient on the south-west coast of Brittany.  In contrast to the ragged coastline of Finistère, this part of Brittany, the Morbihan department,  has a sheltered coastline dotted with islands that are a haven for seabirds and paradise for sailors. The average number of sunny days here is comparable to the South of France.
