One reader of the French Property News magazine had a sudden and unexpected trip down memory lane when our properties for sale in Normandy popped up and immediately brought fond holiday memories flooding back. So much so that the reader was compelled to write to the magazine to tell tale of her travel experiences travelling when french gîtes were a little less 'refined' than they tend to be these days.
The letter is a lovely account of fun holiday memories and a little bit of history at this lovely cottage in Calvados. The cottage still has the character and feel that left such a strong impression 30 years ago, although the attic room seems to have a rather more conventional approach than the wobbly ladder mentioned in the story.
