About 20 minutes away is lively Cotignac, a town that sits at the foot of epic hills. It is relatively unknown on the usual South of France trail which makes for peaceful streets, except perhaps on a Tuesday morning when the weekly market opens.  After shopping enjoy the pink and yellow painted houses, tree lined avenues, bakeries and alfresco dining.

The nearest airport to Tourtour is Toulon (75 minutes), but Nice and Marseille airports are only a little further and offer wider timetables and flight options.
